ShortFreeURL for Sales Teams

Personal links per prospect, with a clear signal when they are opened.

Sales links are different from marketing links. They go to one person or one account, they carry a document or a proposal, and the useful signal is not volume but whether a specific link was opened and when. That is exactly what per-link click data provides.

A link per prospect

Give each account or opportunity its own short link. Bulk creation from a CRM export or through the API means a whole territory can be set up at once, with folder defaults applying the right domain and campaign tagging.

The link is short enough to sit in an email signature, a LinkedIn message or a call follow-up without wrapping.

Knowing when something was opened

Because each link is unique to a prospect, a click is a specific signal rather than an aggregate. The click stream shows time, device and coarse location, which is often enough to know a proposal was opened before a follow-up call.

Automated traffic is separated out, which matters more here than anywhere: corporate email security scanners open links on arrival, and counting those as prospect interest produces false confidence.

Controlling access to what you send

Proposals and pricing documents often should not be forwarded freely. Password protection puts a gate in front, expiry closes a link after a date or a number of opens, and encrypted destinations keep the URL unreadable from our side.

Every expiring link has a fallback destination, so a prospect who arrives late lands on a contact page rather than an error.

Repointing without resending

Pricing changes, a deck is revised, a document is replaced with a corrected version. Editing the destination means the link you already sent now opens the current file, without an awkward follow-up email explaining that the last one was wrong.

The short URL and its open history stay the same, so the signal you have been tracking is not reset.

From open to closed

Conversion tracking joins a click to a demo booking, a trial start or a signed agreement through a click identifier reported back from your systems. That connects outreach activity to outcomes without manual reconciliation.

Values can be attached, so channels and sequences are comparable on pipeline rather than on opens.

Team structure and hygiene

Folders per rep or territory keep a large library navigable, and roles decide who can create and edit. Read-only access covers managers who need the numbers without touching the links.

Everything is available through the API, which is how most teams wire this into a CRM so that link creation happens as part of the sequence rather than as a manual step.

Questions

Will I know if a prospect opened my link?

You will see clicks on that link with timing and device. Because the link is unique to them, that is a specific signal — with the caveat that email security scanners also open links, which is why automated traffic is reported separately.

Can I stop a proposal being forwarded?

You can password protect it, expire it after a date or a number of opens, and encrypt the destination. That raises the bar considerably, though nothing prevents someone sharing a password.

Can I replace a document I have already sent?

Yes. Change the destination and the link you already sent opens the new file.

Can this connect to our CRM?

Yes, through the REST API for link creation and webhooks for open events.

Can each rep have their own space?

Yes, with folders per rep or territory and roles that keep the library tidy.
