There is no native connector for this yet. What exists is a real route through our API, webhooks and automation catalogue, and it is written out below.
What it does with ShortFreeURL
There is no Claude-specific code here, and there does not need to be: Claude is an MCP client, and ShortFreeURL runs an MCP server. Point Claude at the endpoint with an API key and the four link tools become available in the conversation.
What this gives you is link creation without leaving the thread — useful when a draft already contains the destination URLs and you want branded links for all of them at once.
Setting it up
- Set up the MCP server in Integrations → MCP server. Copy the configuration it prints.
- Add it as an MCP server in Claude, using a key scoped to the domain you want it to use.
- Confirm the tools appear, then ask for a short link.
What data moves
- In: create_link and search_links calls from Claude.
- Out: link records and click statistics.
- Auth: an API key you paste into the MCP client configuration.
Where this comes from: Our side: POST /mcp in src/routes/api/index.js. Claude's MCP client support is on their side, not ours.

No. There is nothing to install on our side — the connection is the MCP endpoint plus an API key.
