What it does with ShortFreeURL

Create a branded link when a post publishes. Includes post status, retry-on-update and saved-link shortcode.

Setting it up

  1. Download the ZIP. WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → Install Now → Activate.
  2. ShortFreeURL → API: create a dedicated create-only key.
  3. WordPress → Settings → ShortFreeURL: enter the HTTPS website URL, key and branded domain. Enable automatic publishing.
  4. Publish a test post. WP-Cron runs the task; reopen the editor and inspect its ShortFreeURL box. Use [shortfreeurl] to display the saved link.
  5. For an error, check key/domain/plan limits, then update the published post to retry.
